5km & 10km

Race Regulations
Athletes are required to fully comply with the rules described below. They must also follow the instructions of the organizing club. Failure to comply with the regulations or instructions may result in disqualification. Race officials will record any violations they observe and inform the athletes involved. Any other person authorized by the organizers is also entitled to report observed violations for review by the Race Committee.
Participation Requirements:
Due to the highly technical nature of the course—with 90–95% taking place on rocky terrain with constant elevation changes—previous participation in similar races will be evaluated. There is a cut-off time at the Gialiskari aid station (10.0 km), set at 2 hours after the race start. This cut-off is enforced for athlete safety and the smooth operation of the event. Participants must be at least 18 years old on the day of the race. They compete at their own risk and must have undergone appropriate medical examinations.
Registration & Participation Fee:
The participation fee for the main race is €25. Registration is considered valid only once payment has been completed via bank transfer or credit/debit card. Registration deadline: March 26, 2025.
Equipment: This is an adventure-style race, making full use of the area’s natural terrain. The following equipment is recommended for a safer and more efficient race experience.
Mandatory Equipment:
Hydration: Due to the spacing between aid stations, athletes must carry their own water supply.
Shoes: Trail running shoes with strong grip and durability are essential for the rocky, uneven terrain.
Technical clothing: Moisture-wicking shirts and shorts keep you dry and provide protection in narrow, overgrown sections.
Windbreaker/rain jacket: In case of severe weather, this becomes mandatory for warmth and protection.
Optional Equipment:
GPS, mobile phone, whistle, route map, small first aid kit (elastic bandage, blister pads, trauma bandages, etc.), hat, sunglasses, buff.
Course Marking:
Although the trail is well-established and frequently used by hikers, athletes must remain highly alert. Course marking is dense, with extra attention at junctions.
Up to Gialiskari (10.0 km): marked with yellow-black paint and directional signs.
From that point onward: marked with orange paint and directional signs.
If you do not see regular markers, you are likely off-course and must either return to the last marker or seek assistance.
Participation Terms
– The race is intended for experienced trail runners. Previous experience in similar races will be evaluated. (Reminder: cut-off time at Gialiskari is 2:00:00 from race start).
– By registering, each athlete confirms they have read the full race announcement, understand the technical difficulty of the course, and accept the required equipment and safety measures.
