Race Regulations

General: Athletes are required to fully comply with the rules described below. They are also required to obey the instructions of the Association organizing the race. Failure to comply with the rules or instructions will result in disqualification. When the race judges notice violations of the rules, they record them and inform the violators. Any other person authorized by the organization may also record any violation that comes to their attention and submit it to the Race Committee for review.

 

Registration & Participation Fees: The participation fees for the races are as follows:

– 21 km – €15,

-10 km – €10

– 5 km – €8

– Children’s race – Free

 

Services:

-Electronic timing

-Food/water during the race

-Refreshments after the race

-Storage area for personal belongings at the finish line

-Commemorative finisher’s medal

-Technical T-shirt

 

AWARDS

Categories-Souvenirs-Awards: The categories in which cups and medals will be awarded are as follows:

For the long distance of 21 km, there will be a general category for men and women and the following categories:

– General ranking of the top 3 men and top 3 women

– Men up to 45 years old, men 46 and over.

– Women up to 45 years old, Men 46 and over.

For the short 5 km and 10 km routes, there will be:

Overall ranking of the top 3 men and top 3 women

All participants will receive commemorative medals and gifts. The awards ceremony for the winners will take place at the finish line on the day of the race, Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 10:30 p.m.

 

Disclaimer: The Paleochora Trail Running Team (hereinafter referred to as the “Association”) is not liable for the death, injury, or any damage to the health of the competitors, who, by submitting their application for participation, declare that they are aware of the risks involved in the environment and confirm that they are in good health and able to compete, having recently been examined by a doctor for this purpose. However, no athlete will be asked to provide a medical certificate. Athletes themselves are required to undergo regular preventive medical check-ups to monitor their health. The Association reserves the right to disqualify any athlete and not allow them to complete the race if, during the race, a relevant opinion is issued by an authorized doctor. Furthermore, the Association disclaims any responsibility for the physical integrity of athletes, who must behave responsibly in areas of the course where there is an increased risk of falling with unpleasant or fatal consequences. The Association disclaims any financial responsibility in the event of external assistance to any athlete.

 

Responsible statement

I participate in the race at my own risk, having undergone the necessary medical examinations to confirm that I am healthy and fit for athletic competition. I waive any claim -claims for compensation against the organizer for any damage that may occur during the race for any reason, and I consent to the free use of my name and photographic material related to the race by the media and social networks.
